At the conference, the representative of the Customs Control and Supervision Division highlighted the plan to support enterprises in customs clearance. For the inspection of imported and exported goods by container scanners, Hanoi Customs proposed the General Department of Customs to amend, supplement or replace Decision 3272/QD-TCHQ in the direction of assigning Gia Thuy Customs Branch to run the scanning and image analysis system instead of the Customs Enforcement Team.
At the same time, it is proposed to specify the implementation of screening for goods such as: the time for scanning shipments without customs declaration (screening during loading and unloading) is no more than two hours; specifying the responsibilities of the customs branch where the declaration is registered, and the customs branch where the goods are kept in order to reduce the screening time and limit the stopping of goods through the monitoring area without any grounds for violation.
