Hai Phong Customs assigns target to recover and handle tax debt of more than VND11 billion

Accordingly, nine units have been assigned targets as follows: Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch; Hai Phong port area 2 Customs Branch; Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch; Dinh Vu port Customs Branch; Investment/Processing Customs Branch; Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Customs Branch; Post Clearance Audit Branch; Thai Binh Customs Branch; and the Anti-smuggling and Offenses handling Division.
In particular, two units that are assigned to handle tax debts of VND1 billion and more, are Post Clearance Audit Branch (over VND7.5 billion) and Investment/Processing Customs Branch (nearly VND1.7 billion).
The other units range from a few million to several hundred million VND. Particularly, the Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Customs Branch are more than VND100 billion.
These are debts related to tax arrears and penalties for late tax payment; fines for administrative violations and fines for late payment of administrative violations arising before January 1, 2022.
Regarding revenue collection, by the end of the first quarter of 2022, the whole Department obtained VND18,437 billion, reaching 29% of the assigned target, reaching 27.5% of the assigned target of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, an increase of VND3,061 billion (equivalent to 19.9%) over the same period in 2021.
