Ha Noi’s revenue decreased more than VND1,000 billion because 26 enterprises failed to carry out procedures

According to Ha Noi Customs Department, until the end of April 2020, 26 enterprises in Ha Noi that paid more than VND5 billion to the department’s revenue in 2019, have not carried out customs procedures at the department, so the department's revenue from tax fellVND1,014 billion.
Notably, 10 enterprises have not carried out customs procedures nationwide. The State revenue from these enterprises in 2019 was VND140 billion.
The reduced revenue from these enterprises was also partly offset by some new enterprises. According to Ha Noi Customs Department, customs branches of Ha Noi department have made efforts in collection and instruction of 27 new enterprises with payment to the State budget of VND1 billion from carrying out customs procedures. Therefore, the total revenue in the first four months of the year was VND162 billion.
Notably, there are 11 new businesses that did not implement customs procedures nationwide, have contributed VND38.4 billion to the department’s revenue; one enterprise from Vinh Phuc paid VND6.7 billion and 15 enterprises from other localities have implemented customs procedures at Ha Noi Tax Department and contributed VND117 billion to the State budget.
By the end of April 2020, Hanoi's total import and export turnover reached US$6.1 billion, down 6.3% compared to 2019, of which taxable import-export turnover reached US$1.8 billion, down 0.5% compared to 2019.
