From January 1, Mong Cai Customs has processed procedures for 1,286 export declarations at the Border Crossing on pontoon bridge km 3+4 with a turnover of US$59 million and 37,797 tons of goods that mainly are agricultural products, fruits, fresh seafood and tapioca starch. |
Amid the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic and strict application of disease prevention measures by the Chinese government, causing goods congestion at the Border Crossing on pontoon bridge km 3+4, Mong Cai Customs has directed its subordinate units to flexibly and effectively implement regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control, while ensuring the work progress according to the plan, and creating favorable conditions for people and businesses in import and export activities.
The branch has facilitated and quickly cleared goods within a day for exports and removed problems in customs processes.
The local customs branch has also worked with warehouse and yard operators to arrange sites and create favorable conditions for the preservation and classification of enterprises while waiting for export; allowed enterprises to store exports that have completed customs procedures in cold storages (including bonded warehouses, warehouses for storing frozen goods temporarily imported for re-export) at border gates.
The branch has coordinated with Thanh Dat Port Joint Stock Company to conduct disinfection spraying and accommodation for Chinese drivers in the isolation area for delivery.
The branch also regularly updates the situation, provides information and recommendations to agricultural product exporters and closely coordinates with relevant authorities in the area to regulate vehicles to prevent congestion while ensuring pandemic prevention and control as well as reducing costs for businesses.
