Exchange and share information and data between Vietnam Customs and Intel Corporation

At the meeting, the Director General of the Customs General Department Nguyen Van Can highly appreciated Intel Group for having an investment project in Vietnam very early, in the field of high technology, with the leading scale in the region.
In direction and administration, the General Department of Customs always creates favorable conditions for the Group in terms of investment and management in the fields of production, export, and import.
Director General Nguyen Van Can emphasized that Intel Corporation is working with Vietnam Customs to build a software program to connect and exchange data between Customs authorities and businesses and a project to upgrade and digitally transform the Customs Sector. Hopefully, Intel Corporation and professional units of Vietnam Customs will evaluate and accelerate cooperation in these projects.
Also at the meeting, Mr. Brian White, Global General Director of Customs and Trade Facilitation of Intel Corporation highly appreciated the cooperation project between the General Department of Customs and Intel Corporation, as well as the support of the General Department of Customs for Intel Corporation participating in import and export activities in Vietnam. Currently, in addition to the ongoing project with Vietnam Customs, the Group looks forward to the opportunity to turn this project into an information exchange project between countries, especially countries that are supporting the production model in the tariff-free zone.
Regarding improving management efficiency and continuing to facilitate trade activities, Vietnam Customs is in the process of upgrading and improving the entire technology system to meet the most advanced management process. This includes amending a number of legal documents, orders and procedures accordingly, and abolishing unnecessary regulations based on digital data.

In the future, Director General of the Customs General Department Nguyen Van Can hopes that Intel Group will continue to work with professional units of Vietnam Customs, in the direction of exchanging and sharing information and data between businesses and Customs agencies throughout the process from importing raw materials, production, liquidity to export.
Accordingly, the Customs agency will perform checks on the system and electronic documents, simultaneously the Customs agency will secure the information of the enterprise.
