On 24th August 2018, Dinh Vu Seaport Customs Branch under (Hai Phong Customs Department) said that on 22nd August, during carrying out Customs procedures, the Branch detected this case.
“The company’s violation is the false declaration on goods’ description and origin, not for the false declaration on goods name,” the representative of the Branch added.
According to the declaration, a car is declared as Mercedes Benz V-Klasse V250 car, SUV line, 7 seats, engine capacity of 2,143 cc, 5 doors, 4 wheel drive and automatic transmission. This car was made in 2016 and it is a used left hand drive car; it was registered as over 6 months old with a mileage of 10,325 km, originated from Germany. The declared price is over VND 900 million.
In fact, through the physical inspection, the goods is a Mercedes Benz V250 d 4Matic car, 6 seats, engine capacity of 2,143 cc, made in 2016 and originated from Spain.

The value of the car after the reassessment by the Customs is VND 1,014 billion; this is a difference of over VND 100 million from the initial declaration by the company.
Dinh Vu Seaport Customs Branch has made a report for administrative violation and handled in accordance with regulations.
