Dien Bien Customs seizes 14,000 pills of synthetic drugs

Implementing the plan established by Group 1 of the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention (Border Guard High Command), on March 8, at Hin Pen village, Chieng Son commune, Moc Chau district, Son La, Group 1 worked with Son La Border Guard, Chieng Son Border Guard Station, Son La Police, Long Sap Customs Branch, Moc Chau Police to tackle special case A1-220 and arrested two perpetrators, including Hao A Ca, born in 1960 and Thao A Vi, born in 1999, who resided in Pung village, Sop Bau district, Hua Pan province (Laos) for trafficking drugs.

Competent forces seized 14,000 pills of synthetic drugs and three mobile phones.

The perpetrators claimed the drugs were transported from Laos to Moc Chau town in Vietnam to sell to an unknown Vietnamese man.

The case is being investigated by competent forces.

On February 22, the Anti-drug Enforcement Team (Dien Bien Customs Department) coordinated with PC04 and PA01 of Son La police, Muong La district police; Muong Bu commune police of Muong La district police of Son La province to detect two men driving two motorcycles from Son La city to Muong La district with suspicious signs.

The working group requested these men to inspect. Lo Van Binh born in 1988, residing Huoi Cuom village, Muong Bu commune, Muong La district, Son La province submitted a red plastic bag with six rectangular packages to the working group.

Lo Van Binh claimed the six rectangular packages were heroin. He and Quang Van Dom were transporting them for selling.

Quang Van Dom said they transported these drugs to sell and he would receive VND five million.

The working group made a report to arrest Lo Van Binh and Quang Van Dom and seize the drugs according to regulations.
