Destroying drug network from Germany to Vietnam, seizing 34kg of synthetic drugs

VCN - Hanoi Customs Department has coordinated with the drug-related crime investigation Police Division (PC04) to destroy a drug network from Europe to Vietnam, confiscating 34kg of Synthetic drugs MDMA. To disguise the drug transport, the smugglers hid the drugs in boxes of porcelain candle cups.

Destroying drug network from Germany to Vietnam, seizing 34kg of synthetic drugs

On July 30, the Drug Enforcement Team (Hanoi Customs Department) informed about the case.

Previously, the Hanoi Customs Department and the drug-related crime investigation Police Division identified a drug network from Europe to Noi Bai International Airport and proactively planned to destroy it.

On July 8, during the inspection of the shipment from Germany to Noi Bai International Airport, the authorities determined that out of a total of 240kg, there were 15 packages, including 1 foam box containing baby milk powder, 14 cartons containing candle boxes which all had drugs hidden inside.

At about 4:00 p.m. on July 9, when Nguyen Van Duc (born in 1994, residing in Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc) came to receive the above shipment, the working group asked the subject to open it for inspection and discovered 34kg of the synthetic drug MDMA hidden in porcelain candle cups.

At the investigation agency, Nguyen Van Duc confessed to the crime. Hanoi City Police ordered the arrest of emergency for Nguyen Van Duc for drug trafficking.

The case is under expanded investigation.
