Dialogue Conference on Tax and Customs administrative procedures and polices 2023 to take place in mid-December

Thanh Hoa Customs Department dialogues with enteprises.

According to the plan, the conference will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Specifically, in the Northern region, the conference will take place on the morning of December 13 at the International Convention Center, No. 11 Le Hong Phong, Ba Dinh, Hanoi. In the Southern region, the conference will kick off on the morning of December 15 at Hall 1, 1st floor, Convention Center 272- No. 272 Vo Thi Sau, Ward 7, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.

The conference will focus on two main contents, including the changes in new Tax and Customs policies and administrative procedures; resolving problems and difficulties in implementing the policies, and gathering feedback from businesses on development of legal documents.

According to the Ministry of Finance, since the conference 2022, the regulator has continued to reform administrative procedures to achieve goals of reforming more comprehensively management methods and import and export duty policies in line with economic integration towards stability, transparency, creating a healthy economic environment; in accordance with International Treaties and Free Trade Agreements, Law on Customs, Law on Export-Import Duty and other relevant Laws.

In addition, the regulator has improved the legal framework to implement the National Single Window to reduce customs clearance time and save costs for businesses, in line with the development of international trade; reformed customs procedures towards openness and transparency, creating favorable conditions for import-export enterprises...

The conference is an annual event jointly hold by the Ministry of Finance and the VCCI, aiming to disseminate laws and provide legal support to businesses effectively.

To organize the conference effectively, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has requested local customs departments to dialogue with local import and export enterprises, thereby grasping the status and removing obstacles for enterprises.

The country’s top customs regulator has required the departments to review and check problems to propose solutions before, during and after the conference.

The General Department of Vietnam Customs has also recommended the business community to send their problems in customs process to the local customs departments or to the regulator.
