Da Nang Customs makes a mark in business support activities

(VCN) - A new point in business support activities that has been actively implemented by the Da Nang Customs Department recently is to facilitate and support businesses to comply with customs laws in order to gradually improve the level of customs compliance of enterprises, towards voluntary compliance by enterprises.

Maintain good customs-enterprise cooperation

Head of Customs Control and Supervision Division Cao Van Nhan said that solutions to reform and support businesses are actively deployed through the enhancement of information technology in all professional stages; deploy and provide a full range of administrative procedures to be implemented online in order to reduce processing time and save travel time for businesses. In particular, solutions to overcome difficulties and problems for organizations and individuals are implemented in a public, transparent and timely basis through many channels such as phone, email, online public service, zalo, etc.

As a unit that regularly works with foreign businesses, accounting for 70% of the total number of businesses that carry out procedures at the branch, Deputy Director of the Customs Branch of Hoa Khanh Industrial Park - Lien Chieu Le Thanh Thuy said the policies supporting businesses, maintaining regular connection channels play an important role for businesses to maintain stability in production and business activities.

Deputy Director of the Sub-Department Le Thanh Thuy added that most of the businesses are foreign enterprises, operating in industrial zones, so the Sub-Department always focuses on administrative reform, creating favorable conditions for trade and investment, quick customs clearance procedures in line with industry and local guidelines. In addition, focusing on risk management in professional stages to effectively inspect and control smuggling and trade fraud.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Phuong, Head of Import-Export Department - Phong Phu International Joint Stock Company, Da Nang branch, said that in particular, the business operates in the field of export production, the amount of raw materials and products imported and exported usually rises.

Therefore, when any problems arise, if handled promptly, it will greatly assist businesses in ensuring the time and quantity of goods signed with partners. The connection channels between Da Nang Customs and businesses have always been regularly and effectively maintained. Enterprises receive regular support from Customs authorities, especially new legal policies on customs are grasped and guided in a timely manner.

Since then, the customs clearance of goods has always been smooth, even during the peak period of the Covid-19 pandemic in the area, the implementation of customs procedures of enterprises has been maintained.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, an employee of Import-Export Corporation of Con Ong Logistics (Bee logistics) highly appreciates the regular maintenance of business support solutions of Customs. In particular, the Support and Handling Team for customs procedures for imported and exported goods is a channel to support businesses during customs procedures, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Many situations, or questions as well as new policies and regulations in the field of customs are quickly communicated to businesses.

According to Ms. Dinh Thi Tham, Head of Import-Export Department of Murata Manufacturing Vietnam Da Nang Co., Ltd., grasping new regulations and policy changes is very important for businesses to maintain compliance. Because compliance today but with the new regulations of tomorrow or in the future can become a non-compliant business when information is not captured.

Therefore, sharing, supporting, solving problems and providing information from Customs is one of the important factors to help businesses maintain a good history of compliance with the law.

The declaration increases, the budget revenue is about to reach the target

With the active and dynamic maintenance of cooperation relationships, the Customs-Enterprise partnership has contributed significantly to the production and business stability of the enterprise. As a result, in the first nine months of the year, Da Nang Customs Department collected more than VND4,168 billion, up 17% over the same period in 2021, reaching 93% of the assigned target (VND4,500 billion).

The budget revenue results of Da Nang Customs Department come from many factors. In addition to the recovery of businesses after the Covid-19 pandemic, it is impossible not to mention the solutions to support to remove difficulties for production and business of the unit, especially promoting administrative reform solutions such as the dissemination of documents such as updating documents related to the state management policy on customs, modernizing reform and answering customs advice on the Department's electronic information page; enhance the partnership and cooperation between the Customs authorities and the business community.

In the third quarter of 2022 alone, the total number of customs declarations at units under the Da Nang Customs Department was more than 29,000 declarations, an increase of 16.52% over the same period; accumulated from the beginning of the year to the end of the third quarter is about 80,000 declarations, up 2.02% over the same period.

In which, the main imported items are auto parts and components; devices; iron and steel, iron and steel products; stone bricks of all kinds; paper; frozen foods. Main export items include wood and wood products; scrap aluminum; sand, and quartz powder.
