Customs sector widely disseminates law enforcement

To raise awareness of the entire customs officers on the building and implementing customs legal documents; expedite the legal dissemination, education and support for businesses, and customs modernization and reform, the GDVC has launched the Law Day, aiming to honor the Constitution and the law, and raise awareness of law compliance associated with key events and tasks of the Finance and Customs sectors; create conditions for completing legal documents related to the customs area.
In addition, regulations on Customs law and operational processes and relevant provision have been publicized full contents and appropriate form for each subject group.
Accordingly, Vietnam’s law Day will be held in the two peak months from September 29 to November 29 and the peak week from November 9-10 with the slogan: “In response to Vietnam’s Law Day, the Customs sector continues to improve institutions and policies, facilitate compliance, and transparently perform and effectively management”.
The Financial Law Day will take place from August 28 to September 28, the peak week is from August 28 to September 1. Customs Law Day will take place from September 1 to October 1.
In response to the law days, the GDVC requests units that are in charge of drafting and developing projects, decrees and legal documents to coordinate with relevant units to study, gather comments and complete legal documents to submit to the competent authorities for timely promulgation to improve the development of legal documents.
The units need to expedite dissemination of legal documents that have a great impact on society during the development process, and newly promulgated documents, especially legal documents related to customs areas; promote dissemination on policies and legal customs documents, results of law enforcement and administrative reform in newspapers and magazines inside and outside the sector.
Promote information and communication activities on policies that have a great impact on society, and strengthen people's ability to access the law.
Provide legal information and implement policy dialogue, solve difficulties and obstacles in the practice of applying legal documents to enterprises, taxpayers and customs declarants. Strengthen handling completely problems of enterprises in implementing legal documents and administrative procedures, especially newly arising problems; promptly remove difficulties and overcome the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Accelerate implementation of solutions to reform and simplify administrative procedures such as controlling administrative procedures, not issuing unnecessary procedures; review and propose solutions to reduce administrative procedures in all customs control areas, including reducing cost and time for enterprises.
Strictly and promptly announce and update administrative procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, completeness, accuracy, transparency, creating maximum convenience for people. Implement publicity of administrative procedures between state administrative agencies.
The GDVC requires units to strengthen inspection and supervision of administrative discipline, including supervision of people and businesses; strictly implement work culture, responsibility, ethics, and communication culture of customs officers when performing public duties.
