Customs sector collects revenue exceeding VND200,000 billion

Regarding import – export turnover, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, total value is estimated to reach $50.5 billion, increasing 7.5% compared to last month in August. In particular, the total value of exports is estimated to reach $26.5 billion, increasing 6.5%, and total value of imports is estimated to reach $24 billion, increasing 8.6%.
Notably, over the same period in 2019, the value of exports of the whole country increased by 2.5% and value of imports increased by 7.3%.
With the above development, the trade balance of Vietnamese goods in August exceeded $2.5 billion.
Therefore, by the end of August, total value of import – export goods is estimated to achieve $337.28 billion, increasing 0.02% over the same period in 2019.
In particular, the total value of exports is estimated to reach $174.1 billion, increasing 1.6%, and total value of imports is estimated to reach $163.17 billion, decreasing 1.6% over the same period in 2019.
The trade balance of Vietnam in the first eight months of 2020 is estimated to exceed $10.93 billion.
