VCN – Customs – Border Guard forces have arrested four suspects for illegally transport of four kg of gold across Cau Treo International Border Gate.

At 4:00 p.m. on May 11, at Cau Treo International Border Gate, the Customs and Border Guard forces arrested four suspects driving pickup truck entering from Laos to Vietnam for illegal transportation of goods.

Through inspection of the four suspects, the enforcement authorities confiscated 4 kg of gold. These suspect did not present legal document of the gold.

The four declared that the gold was bought from Vientiane (Laos) for VND7.2 billion to transport to Vietnam and sell for profit.

Currently, the two authorities have coordinated with the Police for investigation.
