According to information from Cao Bang Customs Department, in January 2018, its total revenue was approximately VND 13 billion, up 133% over the same period in 2017.

Representatives of Cao Bang Customs Department said that this result was due to asharp increase in taxable imported goods with a total value of nearly US$ 20 million. The imported goods were mainly fabric, ferrite, machinery and equipment, iron and steel

Of which, machinery, equipment and steel reached nearly US$ 2 million, up nearly 60 times from 2017, earning about VND 5.6 billion. The turnover of fabric increased by 404% and earned more than VND 5.4 billion.

Also in January 2018, Cao Bang Customs recorded a very high export turnover of nearly US$ 60 million, an increase of 332% over the same period in 2017. However, the exported goods were mainly duty-free goods such as rubber, cashew nuts, fruits and seafood .

In 2017, Cao Bang Customs implemented clearance procedures for 192 enterprises, up by 10% compared with 2016. The total number of declarations was 6,550, up by 24%. Total import-export turnover reached over US$ 803 million, down 4% compared to 2016.

Major imports and exports at Cao Bang Customs in 2017 were mainly cashew nuts, rubber, shrimp, coke, fabric, ferrite, machinery and equipment.

Remarkably, in 2017, while the import and export turnover showed signs of decline, the turnover of temporary imports for re-export through Cao Bang province still increased. For the whole year, the whole Department monitored temporary imports for re-export and bonded warehouses (mainly goods temporarily imported from Hai Phong Customs Department and re-exported through Cao Bang) of 35,345 sets of declarations, up 32% over 2016 with a total turnover of more than US$ 2 billion, up 57.5%.

Regarding the task of state budget collection, in 2017, Cao Bang Customs collected VND 207.3 billion, exceeding 72.8% of the estimate and 3.6% of the desired target set by the General Department of Customs.

Regarding Cao Bang Customs revenue, according to the preliminary information and daily update from the General Department of Customs, from the beginning of the year to 22nd February 2018, the total budget revenue of the Department was more than VND17 billion, equal to 14.24% of the assigned estimate (VND120 billion).
