Bac Ninh Customs held a dialogue with over 200 import and export business

Bac Ninh Customs Department cooperated with Vietnam Industry Supporting Alliance (VISA) and INTERLOG to invite experts to directly guide on practice and analyze in detail the sample of settlement report; presenting solutions, and warnings to avoid common mistakes and errors as well as sharing experience to resolve obstacles relating to customs settlement report.

According to experts' recommendations, in the production process, businesses often overlook the process of controlling data during the period, leading to aberrant data when preparing final settlement reports. It resulted in difficulties in finding errors and making corrections. Therefore, for the process of preparing settlement reports to be convenient and follow the regulations, businesses need to pay attention from the first stage of importing input materials to the final stage of inventory management, avoiding errors that arise.

With an open spirit, at the conference, leaders of Bac Ninh Customs Department and the Consulting Team directly answered problems in the process of implementing customs procedures; helped businesses grasp and update new legal policies on customs, removed difficulties and obstacles that arose during the process of customs procedures, as well as practical production and import and export activities.

At the conference, dozens of businesses were directly answered by the consultation team on issues related to on-site import and export procedures; conditions to be recognized as an authorized economic operator; submitting a final settlement report, and how to make a settlement report...

Speaking at the conference, Director of Bac Ninh Customs Department Tran Duc Hung said that in recent years, with the spirit of supporting, accompanying, and facilitating import and export activities, the unit has implemented diversified exchange channels, created an environment for communication and sharing between the Customs authority and business community.

This result is shown in the Public Administrative Reform Index 2022 of affiliated and subordinate units announced by General Department of Vietnam Customs. In particular, Bac Ninh Customs Department led the country.

"The Customs-Enterprise Dialogue is an annual activity, creating an opportunity to meet and exchange information between import-export businesses in the three provinces and the Customs authority. This is also an opportunity to to strengthen relationships, share information, discuss appropriate cooperation mechanisms, and create an open and favorable environment for the operations of Customs agencies and businesses," Director Tran Duc Hung said.
