Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department has new director

In the afternoon, on September 30, Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can chaired the ceremony to announce the appointment for Anh and announced the retirement for Nguyen Phi Hung - Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department from October 1, 2019.
At the ceremony, leaders of Personnel and Organisation Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs) announced the decisions.
On behalf of leaders of General Department of Vietnam Customs, Director General Nguyen Van Can acknowledged and highly appreciated Hung for striving and working process.

“In the process of striving and working,Mr. Hung has experienced many working positions from the central to local levels, including 20 years working in the Customs sector. With 20 years of experience in Customs, especially holding key position of leaders of the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department in 17 years, Mr. Hung has contributed significantly to the construction, development and improvement of the role of the customs enforcement force and the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department," Director General Nguyen Van Can said.
For the new Director of the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department, Nguyen Hung Anh, Director General Nguyen Van Can said the appointment procedures were implemented in accordance with regulations. In the process of implementing the appointment, Anh received the support of leaders, especially of the leaders and customs officials of the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department.

Regarding tasks in the future, the Director General requested Anh continue inheriting and promoting the tradition and achievements in every aspects of the unit, solidarity with the collective committee of the Party Committee and leaders of the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department, to lead and direct units to continue fulfilling the assigned tasks.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hung and Anh expressed their thanks to the leaders for their concern and giving direction as well as facilitation of leaders at all levels, especially the leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs to the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department and individuals. From that they can fulfill their tasks and achieve oustanding results.

Also, speaking at the ceremony, new Director of the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department Anh expressed his determination to continue putting great efforts and solidarity with the leaders of the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department to lead the unit towards accomplishing their assigned tasks duties, confirming the role and position of the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department as well as the customs enforcement force of the whole sector in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and illegal transport of goods across borders.
