To amplify its reach, the campaign will be widely promoted through the Customs Magazine, the Customs E-Portal, and other online platforms managed by provincial and municipal customs departments..

The contest is part of the implementation of Decision No. 319/QĐ-TTg, dated March 29, 2023, approved by the Prime Minister to promote the fight against counterfeit goods and enhance consumer protection in e-commerce until 2025. It also aligns with Decision No. 1907/QĐ-TTg, dated November 23, 2020, which approved the project to raise awareness and disseminate knowledge about cybersecurity from 2021 to 2025. Additionally, the contest supports the 2024 campaign on online fraud identification and prevention, launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The contest aims to foster a profound shift in awareness, encouraging individuals, businesses, and organizations to comply with the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on combating counterfeit goods and protecting consumers. By improving the effectiveness of consumer protection in e-commerce activities, the contest hopes to build trust among consumers engaging in online transactions, thus contributing to the sustainable development of e-commerce in Vietnam.

It also seeks to raise public awareness, responsibility, and cybersecurity skills through various media channels. By equipping citizens with knowledge and skills to identify and prevent online fraud, the contest aims to reduce risks and enhance online safety.

The contest will be conducted as an online quiz at chonghanggia.dangcongsan.vn. Participants can access the contest via the Vietnam Communist Party Online Newspaper (dangcongsan.vn), the VCNet social network (vcnet.vn), and electronic newspapers, magazines, and portals of related agencies and organizations.

The contest is scheduled to run for six months, from November 25, 2024, to May 26, 2025. Weekly quizzes will begin at 10:00 AM every Monday and conclude at 9:00 AM the following Monday.

Eligibility includes all Vietnamese citizens and foreign residents in Vietnam aged 14 years and older at the time of participation. The contest offers total prizes worth up to VND 240 million.

The organizers plan to recognize and reward individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in organizing and participating in the contest. Prizes will also be awarded to localities and units with the highest number of participants or winners.

Additionally, all officers, employees, and staff can join the “Scratch Anti-Counterfeit Labels – Win Instant Prizes” Program by purchasing products with VTrue anti-counterfeit labels. By verifying these labels, participants can enter the program’s prize draw, which offers a total prize pool of VND 600 million.
