309 enterprises connected to Customs Management System

Representatives of the Customs IT and Statistic Department said: With the number of large enterprises operating warehouses, yards and ports in many areas nationwide, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has prioritized the implementation of the VASSCM System for enterprises and customs units which have large frequency of transactions and volumes of import and export goods; high level of availability of IT systems; synchronously deploying from ports to warehouses and yards to ensure the linkage between the professional operation stages in the supervision of goods transportation.

Thanks to the great efforts of units in the whole Customs sector, by the end of 2018, there are 27/35 local customs departments implementing the VASSCM System.

Specifically, the customs departments have already been deployed including: An Giang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Dinh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Can Tho, Cao Bang, Da Nang, Dien Bien, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Ha Giang , Hanoi, Hai Phong, Khanh Hoa, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Long An, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Ninh, Quang Tri, Tay Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien - Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.

In that, 10 departments have completed the connection with warehouse and port enterprises: Binh Phuoc, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Dong Thap, Ha Giang, Hai Phong, Long An, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thanh Hoa.

Regarding to bonded warehouses, there are 12/35 local customs departments deploying the system for 89 bonded enterprises, including: Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Cao Bang, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Ha Inner, Hai Phong, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Thua Thien - Hue, Ho Chi Minh City.

In that, 9 Customs Departments have completed 100% connection with bonded warehouse enterprises including: Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Cao Bang, Dong Nai, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Nam, Thua Thien - Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding the implementation of the system in airport warehouses, currently, there is only Hanoi Customs Department connected with 3 air warehouses (reaching 100%).

8 units that have not implemented VASSCM system include: Bac Ninh, Ca Mau, Dak Lak, Gia Lai - Kon Tum, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Lao Cai and Ha Nam Ninh.

In particular, the case of Kien Giang Customs Department could not deploy VASSCM System because the department does not have this type of management.
