2,800 red channel declarations in one month at four customs branches of Hai Phong

According to Hai Phong Customs Department, in July, the total number of declarations of the whole Department was 158,527, down 0.41% over the same period in 2019, increasing 11.45% compared to the previous month. Of that imports totalled 87,194 declarations, exports reached 71,333 declarations.
The unit with the largest number of declarations is the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) and Industrial Park (IP) Customs Branch with 36,965 declarations. The unit with the least number of declarations is the Hai Phong port area 2 Customs Branch with 3,655 declarations.
In July, the channel classification ratio of customs declarations at Hai Phong Customs Department was: 51.1% in the green channel, 44.5% in the yellow channel, and 3.5% in the red channel.
However, at only four border-gate customs branches (Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch, Hai Phong port area 2 Customs Branch, Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch , Dinh Vu port Customs Branch) the proportion of declarations classified in Yellow and Red channels was still very high.
Specifically, 17.1% of the green channel, 72.6% of the yellow channel, and 10.3% of the red channel.
Thus, the proportion of red and yellow channel at border gate customs branches was up to 83% (equivalent to 22,855 declarations).
Meanwhile the customs branches outside the border gate (the Investment/Processing Customs Branch, the EPZ & IZ Customs Branch, the Hai Duong Customs Branch, the Hung Yen Customs Branch, Thai Binh Customs Branch) have the highest percentage of green channel with 58.3%, Yellow channel 38.6%, and Red channel 2.1%.
