2 people transporting narcotics from Laos to Vietnam were seized in one day

VCN – Only in 1 day (on 19/8), Cau Treo Customs Branch (Ha Tinh Customs Department) coordinated with other competent forces to arrest 2 cases with 2 people transporting narcotics from Laos to Vietnam.

In the morning of 19/8, through the inspection of means of transport and people on entry and exit of the country via Cau Treo International Border Gate, the competent forces detected and arrested Dau Khac Hung (was born in 1987, lives in Ky Son, Tan Ky, Nghe An province), due to illegally transporting narcotics. Through the inspection, the competent force discovered inside Hung’s body, 49 ecstasy tablets.

In the afternoon of the same day, at the control channel of exit and entry into the country via Cau Treo International Border Gate, the competent force continued detecting and arrested Tran Xuan Dat (was born in 1995, lives in Xuan Hai, Nghi Xuan) while he was hiding 17 tablets of ecstasy inside his body.

At the investigation agency, the 2 subjects claimed that they bought narcotics from a Laos person and then transported to Vietnam for consumption and earning profits.

Currently, the competent force is continuing to investigate and handle the subjects in accordance with regulations.
