At the meeting, the two sides reported on the implementation of the Memorandum of Agreement signed in 2013 in Luang Prabang (Laos) and the achieved results in Customs management in areas such as administrative procedure reform and anti-smuggling of each side.

The two sides exchanged experience onspecialized operations and unified to strengthen the cooperation and support each other in specialized areas.

Particularly, the two sides agreed to create favorable conditions, ensure trade security under cooperation agreements between the two governments; closely coordinate between customs and competent forces atthe two border gates to implement the Protocol and Agreement on facilitation for cross border transport of vehicles signed by the two Governments.

At the same time, the two sides agreed on coordinating, providing and exchanging information for anti-smuggling and trade fraud investigations, especially in the prevention and combat of trafficking and illegal transportation of drugsacross the border.

In addition, the two sides also strengthened exchanges, learning, sharing experiences and supporting each other in the specialized operation, technology, cultural exchanges, exercise and sports.

The two sides annually organize meetings in June and December to exchange experiences and handle arising problems under their competencies.
