Could you introduce me to your company and the technology solutions that your company is providing, Sir?

Rapiscan Systems is a US-based company. We are a security solution provider. We specialize in walk-through metal detectors and X-ray machines for screening airport luggage and cargo. So we have a lot of technology, particularly the X-ray machines.

We are proud to be a supplier to the General Department of Vietnam Customs. We have already provided a lot of X-ray equipment for the scanning of containers around Vietnam. Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can has a very good vision, so we are very proud to support his vision.

Could you detail the operational process of the technology product you bring to this exhibition? And what is the meaning of the product for the customs?

The technology we’re bringing is X-ray technology but we have different types of X-ray machines.

We have backscatter technology. Backscatter technology captures the data from the X-rays that are scattered away from the object, back toward a detector.

This technology can be put at the port or the border crossing to scan containers and vehicles. So we have an image of a high-energy X-ray image and also a backscatter image. This technology can be deployed in any type of vehicle all over Vietnam. It’s the latest technology that allows Customs to perform automated scanning by “mobile X-ray trailer”, then produces the X-ray image for the Customs operators to analyze.

Currently, we have Rapiscan systems deployed in over 100 countries around the world

What do you think about the global supply chain?

The global supply chain has been going up and down. It has been very challenging but I believe it is settling down. Vietnam has more supply chains, and its economy is growing, we are as a Rapiscan systems solution provider, we are assisting Vietnam Customs to improve the supply chains and the trade and commerce.

What is your assessment about the cooperation with Vietnam Customs?

We are the number one supplier in the world and we have very high technology we are always improving the technology and we hope to do more business with Vietnam Customs, offering the latest technology in the world to support Vietnam Customs.

We consider ourselves as not a supplier but a partner to Vietnam Customs and we want to grow together, we want to listen to the requirements of Vietnam Customs and meet the requirements and help Vietnam Customs do their job and their role in protecting Vietnam and ensuring the right revenues.

We really thank Vietnam Customs for hosting us here today

Our whole team from international have come to Vietnam and they love Vietnam

I also love Vietnam and the people here so much.

Thank you very much!
