Trading components and goods with 58 enterprises
The General Department of Vietnam Customs has announced information related to the inspection and verification for ASANZO Group Joint Stock Company on September 5.
According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the General Department has conducted post clearance audits at some companies.
For ASANZO Group Joint Stock Company, according to the provisions of Circular No.39/2018/TT-BTC of April 20, 2019 amending and supplementing Circular No.38/2015/TT-BTC of March 25, 2015, the Post-clearance Audit Department (under the General Department of Vietnam Customs) conducted audits and sent Conclusion report No.774/KL-KTSTQ (C3) dated August 15, 2019 on post clearance audit at the premises of customs declarants to the company.
On August 27, 2019, the General Department of Vietnam Customs advised the Ministry of Finance to report to the Prime Minister on the results of the inspection and verification of information reflected by the press on this issue.
In this report, the Ministry of Finance has pointed out signs of violations and proposed relevant agencies to continue investigating, verifying and handling according to regulations.
ASANZO Group Joint Stock Company was established on October 20, 2016 as Asan Group Joint Stock Company and then changed its name to ASANZO Group Joint Stock Company.
The main business lines and operations are manufacturing, assembling and trading electronics products with the brand name ASANZO such as televisions, air conditioners, air coolers, super speed kettles, electric cookers, infrared stoves, and blenders.
Regarding the trade relationship between ASANZO Group Joint Stock Company with companies with the name ASANZO, from January 1, 2017 to June 30 2019, ASANZO Group Joint Stock Company traded with 58 companies, including nine companies named ASANZO.
Specifically, Asanzo High-Tech Joint Stock Company, Asanzo Communications and Entertainment Joint Stock Company, Asanzo Electric Refrigeration Co.,Ltd, Asanzo Electronic Technology Investment Joint Stock Company, Asanzo Telecommunication Joint Stock Company, Asanzo Investment Joint Stock Company, ASANZO Vietnam Electronic Company, Asanzo Phuong Nguyen Production and Investment Co.,Ltd and Asanzo Communications Co.,Ltd.
Opening 26 import declarations
According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, through investigation, 58 companies have traded components and goods with ASANZO Group Joint Stock Company. Through searching in the portal of the General Department of Taxation and verification results at the Ward People's Committee where head offices or leased offices are registered, there are 14 companies vacated.
In addition, four companies do not exist at their registered business addresses; seven companies stopped operation, one company does not operate at its registered business address, and 32 companies are operating.
According to the inspection and investigation, some companies hang the board but do not operate, registered business addresses do not exist; some companies have no longer operated at their registered addresses but this has not been updated on the portal.
Notably, there was a situation that the house owner does not let a company lease his house as the company’s office, but the house’s address is still shown in the certificate of business registration
Regarding the handling violation of the company importing Asanzo products, the Customs authority has prosecuted the smuggling case against Sa Huynh Production and Trading Co., Ltd.
Specifically, through investigation and verification, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has requested the investigating authority to prosecute the smuggling case of Sa Huynh Co., Ltd for importing goods as components used for assembling glass ovens, but through inspection, the container included 1,300 sets of Asanzo glass ovens attached with warranty cards in Vietnamese “Asanzo – Japanese hi-technology with hotline 18001035”.
For inspection of import and export activities of Asanzo Group Joint Stock Company, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, from October 20, 2016 to June 30, 2019, the Company carried out import procedures with 26 customs declarations with a total turnover of more than VND 171 million.
Items imported for sample use (without payment) include electronic circuit boards assembled for televisions, signal cables, metal logos, sample LCD panels, TV's circuit board. On Customs declaration, the goods were declared of Chinese origin.
Also according to General Department of Vietnam Customs, the company did not export goods abroad but made one declaration to re-export "Asanzo-branded audio amplifier" to its partner in Hong Kong with five units worth nearly VND 6 million.
