Hanoi Customs Department said that taxable export turnover in August alone reached US$8.7 million, up 14%; taxable import turnover reached US$ 985 million, up 1.21% compared to July.

In August, Hanoi Customs Department collected VND3,236 billion, up 1.3% compared to the previous month. Notably, tax revenue from some commodity groups surged. For example, the tax revenue from the group of household electrical appliances, computers, and electronic components of the Military Industry and Telecoms Group increased VND193 billion or 620% compared to the previous month; or the revenue from two electronics companies rose VND 18 billion and VND73 billion month-on-month, respectively.

Besides, the tax revenue from the group of automobile and motorbike components of a limited liability company B went up VND43 billion compared to the previous month...

In the first eight months of the year, Hanoi Customs Department collected VND21,336 billion, reaching 63.6% of the target, up 12.38% year-on-year.
