Previously, following the Prime Minister's direction in Directive 11/CT-TTg of March 4, 2020 on urgent tasks and solutions to remove difficulties for production, business and ensure social security in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the GDVC directed to temporarily suspend specialized inspections in the plan approved by the Minister and internal inspection plan 2020 until the end of the pandemic in accordance with the Prime Minister’s direction.

Currently, the GDVC is reviewing inspections approved in 2020, assessing and analyzing the level of risks and signs of violations of enterprises that have not been conducted specialized inspection to adjustspecialized inspection and internal inspection plans this year.

In the first four months of 2020, the entire customs sector has conducted 31 inspections (including 18 specialized inspection and 13 internal inspections). Thereby, it collected arrears of more than VND53 billion (of which, tax arrears were more than VND47 billion and fines for administrative violationsweremore than VND5.3 billion). It collected and contributed more than VND68 billion to the State budget, of which tax arrears was more than VND58 billion and fines for administrative violations totaled more than VND 10.3 billion.

Performing the inspection in May, the GDVC continues to review and assess the level of risks and signs of violations of enterprises that have not been conducted specialized inspection to adjust the specialized inspection plan in 2020.

It also assesses the collection, analysis and processing of customs data in specialized inspection, international inspection; assess the difficulties, problems and causes of the shortcomingsand propose remedial measures.

At the same time, it continues to monitor and request units to implement conclusions and proposals of the Government Inspectorate and the GDVC.
