VCN – 260kg of star anise imported from China has been seized by Hoanh Mo Customs Branch – Quang Ninh Customs Department in management area.

At 2:00PM, on 30/10, at the area of milestone 1319, Hoanh Mo ward, Binh Lieu district, the working group of Hoanh Mo Customs Branch coordinated with Hoang Mo Phytosanitary Station to discover T.V.Y (lives in Hamlet 1, Quang Trung, Hai Ha, Quang Ninh) transporting packages from stream to roadside.

At the inspection time, T.V.Y did not present any document to prove legal origin of 260kg imported dried star anise made in China (some petals were mildewed).

Hoanh Mo Customs Branch made a record of administrative violation in customs field about illegal transporting goods cross the border. Also, they issued a decision to hold in custody the above shipment and handle in accordance with regulation.

Earlier, on 4/10, Hoanh Mo Customs Branch seized 2 cases of transporting 500kg of smuggled dried star anise.
