The number of exit and entry passengers across Mong Cai International Border Gate surges on National Reunification Day (April 30) and Labour Day (May 1) holidays.

In the first half of the year, Quang Ninh Customs Department focused on strengthening customs control and supervision for import and export activities and exit and entry means of transport.

The department always meets conditions, strictly manage and improves clearance capacity at land border gates; strengthens customs inspection and supervision for means of transport in the customs control area; closely manages goods subject to customs supervision, goods temporarily imported for re-export, goods stored in bonded warehouses, transit goods and independently transported goods.

On the other hand, the department actively contributes to amending and supplementing legal documents, proposing revising regulations on state management of customs areas.

The department strengthens solutions to combat origin fraud, illegal labelling of goods, illicit transhipment, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

In May, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province issued an official dispatch directing the inspection and supervision classification for people and self-driving cars on exit and entry across Mong Cai International Border Gate -Bac Luan II Bridge area.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province assigned the Quang Ninh Customs Department to direct enforcement forces to coordinate with specialized state management agencies at the border gate to perform the following regulations.

At the same time, the Committee assigned the Border Guard Command of Quang Ninh province to direct the inspection and supervision classification for Chinese people and self-driving cars for tourism exit and entry across Mong Cai International Border Gate -Bac Luan II Bridge area.

The Border Guard Command of Quang Ninh province coordinates with relevant agencies and units to arrange forces and means of transport Mong Cai International Border Gate -Bac Luan II Bridge area in line with Vietnamese laws and relevant regulations.
