According to Quang Nam Customs Department, due to competition with imported automobiles, domestic automobiles and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the consumption of automobiles has decreased. The import turnover with tax of Truong Hai Auto Corporation in the first 10 months of 2020 fell sharply.
For example, automobile components, machinery and equipment of Truong Hai Auto Corporation only reached turnover of $615.73 million, down 21.63%. In April, implementing social distancing, the set of components, raw materials, machinery and equipment of Truong Hai Auto Corporation decreased 80.42% from the same period, with tax amount reached VND 55.2 billion, down 87.5% over the same period.
Meanwhile, revenue collection of the Quang Nam Customs Department mainly depended on imported goods of Truong Hai Auto Corporation because revenue collection accounts for more than 90% of the total revenue of the department. Besides that, the unit has implemented tax refunds in accordance with the Decree No. 57/2020/ND-CP to the tune of VND 707 billion, so the actual amount of revenue collected from goods of Truong Hai Auto Corporation (set of components, auto components, machinery, equipment and raw materials) reached only VND 2,664.7 billion, down 30.05% over the same period.
