Over 7.6 million Customs dossiers are implemented via online public services

VCN – The number of dossiers that are implemented are mostly related to online Customs dossiers. Notably, 100% of dossiers are returned on time by Customs authorities.

According to Customs IT and Statistics Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs), in the first quarter, the whole Customs sector received and solved nearly 2.7 million dossiers via online public services; quarter II was 3.074 million dossiers; from early quarter III to 23/8, there were 1.83 million dossiers.

The leader of the Vietnam Customs Portal Management Division (Customs IT and Statistics Department) said that, until now, the total number of online public services that reached the minimum level of 3 in the Customs sector is 170/180 administrative procedures, accounting for over 94.4% (including the procedures that have been done on the HQ36a system, VNACCS/VCIS system and other IT systems), in that the number of procedures that reached level 4 are 161 procedures.

Regarding the reason for the remaining 10 procedures that have not been operated on the online public service system yet, the representatives of the Vietnam Customs Portal Management Division said that the procedures have not been operated on the system because it would not work effectively in the online platform.

For example, the procedures for "considering the tax exemption for the case of importing specialized goods in service of security and defense; under local budgets are only considered for tax exemption if it could not be domestically produced”.- This is a procedure that transfers dossiers directly to General Department of Vietnam Customs by the Ministry of Defense, including the dossiers that are in the "confidential" mode.

Additionally, regarding the customs procedures for trading and exchange of goods of border residents, the subjects who carry out procedures are individuals that are border residents. However, the deployment of online public services for individuals who are border residents to lodge online dossiers does not work effectively...

Currently, the number of dossiers implemented online public services are mostly related to customs clearance dossiers via VNACCS / VCIS system.

Besides that, the procedures that have been implemented by enterprises are for; additional customs declaration, cancellation of customs declaration, tax refund, and means of transport containing goods in the mode of temporary import and temporary export...
