More than 5.78 million Customs declarations processed in 6 months

The number of enterprises joining imports and exports in the first 6 months of 2018 was about 69,600 enterprises, a year-over-year increase of 7.1%. In the first 6 months of 2018, the country has 515,000 means of transport on entry and exit (in which the number of means on exit was 258,000, and on entry was 257,000).
The Customs Department has carried out a risk assessment for channel classification for inspection for 5,709,789 import and export declarations. Of which, the Green Channel accounted for 3,387,971 declarations (59.47%); Yellow Channel 2,031,612 declarations (35.58%); and Red Channel 290,206 declarations (5.08%). As a result, the total number of illegal dossiers which were made was 9,465 declarations; the number of illegal declarations which were discovered was 10,541 declarations, and the number of violating individuals and organizations was 9,222 declarations.
According to preliminary data, as of 2nd July 2018, total import and export value reached US$ 224.49 billion, up 12.6% over the same period of 2017 (of which the total export value reached US$114.10 billion, up 16.2% and the total import value was US$ 110.38 billion, up 9.2% over the same period of 2017). Thus, Vietnam has a trade surplus of US$ 3.72 billion in the first six months of 2018.
The imports and exports gained a remarkable growth rate in the first 6 months, particularly: Exports of computers, electronic products, telephones and components, up US$ 4.94 billion; machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts up US$ 1.89 billion; textiles and garments up by US$ 1.86 billion; imports of computers, electronic products and components up US$ 2.52 billion; petroleum up US$ 1.31 billion; fabric up US$ 776 million and plastic materials increased US$ 662 million ...
