The leader of Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch (under Quang Ninh Customs Department) is a member of the Working Group.

The group is in charge of implementing digital border gate platform at Bac Luan II Bridge Border Gate. Mong Cai City is in charge of issuing a plan on the establishment and operation of the digital border gate system at the border gate.

The working group proposes relevant agencies and units to encourage enterprises and customs brokers to coordinate for the effective operation of the digital border gate system.

The group also advises local government to issue the operational process, in line with what was proposed by the consulting unit, the investment in infrastructure and technical equipment of the border gate system at Bac Luan II Bridge Border Gate, establishing a hotline to receive and handle arising problems.

Mong Cai is focusing on investing in digital infrastructure and implementing comprehensive digital transformation to build a digital government, economy and society to create a driving force and a solid foundation for the development of the local economy and society.

Mong Cai has coordinated with the Department of Quang Ninh Information and Communications, Telecommunications to survey the implementation of the digital border gate model in Lang Son province. Furthermore, conducting specific surveys at border gates, crossings and agencies in Mong Cai to build a smart and modern digital border gate infrastructure platform to meet the requirements of import-export activities. The consulting unit, Quang Ninh Telecommunications, has developed a project to build the smart and digital border gate model at Mong Cai International Border Bate.

The model automates the import-export process to reduce customs clearance time and strengthen the management and supervision of state agencies, creating a multi-dimensional communication channel between the state agencies and import and export enterprises.
