720 enterprises carry out exports and imports through Mong Cai

One of the bright spots in leading and directing the implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic at Mong Cai Customs Branch is the solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses, promoting safe imports and exports.

In 2021, Mong Cai Customs Branch held conferences to find solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles and promote import-export activities through the area.

The Customs Branch also organized a working delegation to meet the enterprise at their headquarters and commits to accompany and support to facilitate cargo clearance activities.

In addition, in coordination with the Border Gate Management Authority, the Health Department, the Import-Export Branch of the Business Association of Mong Cai City to review and deploy RT-PCR sampling for SARS-CoV-2 testing at positions such as car door handles, steering wheels, inner walls of containers, packaging surfaces, packaging of goods.

Along with pandemic control measures for drivers and workers at the border gate area, taking samples for testing of goods and vehicles coming from pandemic affected areas continues to be a measure for the unit to proactively control, strengthen the pandemic prevention for border trade activities. At the same time, speeding up clearance procedures for goods of businesses and border residents, promoting economic and social development.

Thanks to being proactive, flexible, grasping the situation of enterprises (through business dialogue conferences, signing agreements with key enterprises, establishing business support teams), import-export activities through Mong Cai area, achieved "three increases" (increasing declarations, increasing turnover, increasing enterprises).

The drastic and effective implementation of the two tasks of both pandemic prevention and control and facilitating import-export promotion has helped Mong Cai Customs Branch successfully complete the assigned political tasks; actively contributing to Quang Ninh Customs Department in particular, and Quang Ninh province in general, to successfully complete the "dual goals" following the Government's direction.
