Speaking to a reporter of Customs Magazine, Deputy Director of Chi Ma Border Gate Customs Branch Luong Van Tho said that during the customs clearance for import and export goods, the unit promptly solve problems arising from enterprises, effectively works with Border Guard and Quarantine agencies to facilitate customs clearance of goods. In the coming time, Chi Ma border gate will implement the Digital Border Gate Platform, then the clearance time will be faster, the import and export of goods will be more convenient.

At Tan Thanh border gate, from the beginning of the year until now, when the pandemic control measures are loosened, import and export goods through Tan Thanh border gate tend to increase, especially export goods surged by over 200% compared to the same period in 2022. To achieve the above results, Tan Thanh Customs together with other authorities in the area regulated goods for smooth circulation, strengthened customs clearance, and grasped the import and export from China to have timely notifications to businesses.

The representative of Tan Thanh Customs Branch said that the elimination of contactless delivery, container cutting, trailer cutting and delivery right on the border and restoring of normal import-export activities from the beginning of 2023 have helped businesses and authorities at the border gate reduce customs clearance time, improve customs clearance efficiency and also reduce many costs for businesses.

In addition to the efforts of Lang Son Customs, to ensure that the import-export activities of enterprises take place smoothly and safely, the Border Guard, Plant Quarantine, Health Quarantine and yard operators have strengthened the preparation of warehouse infrastructure conditions; mobilized officials regulating means of transport at the border gate area, guide the drivers to stop and park at the prescribed places, to prevent traffic conflicts at the border gate area. In particular, the authorities have closely coordinated each other to guide drivers and people entering and leaving the border gate to strictly comply with regulations on anti-pandemic, while still ensuring the fastest clearance for goods.

According to Major Tran Van Hung, Deputy Head of Border Guard Station at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, to create the most favorable conditions for import-export activities, the unit has actively developed specific plans, arranged officials, means, facilities, ensure the best conditions; proactively handled problems arising in the border gate area.
