Lang Son Customs holds meeting with Nanning Customs

At the meeting, the Director of Lang Son Customs Department Nguyen Hong Linh said that from the early year, although the department has faced some difficulties, the department has actively exchanged information and facilitated import and export activities between the two sides.

Accordingly, the total import and export turnover across border gates of Lang Son province saw a year-on-year increase of 103.5% to over US$ 2.44 billion. The two customs administrations have executed other related activities.

After discussing the results achieved in the customs clearance of goods across the border gate pairs of the two sides, leaders of the two customs administrations have shared experiences in building the digital Customs model- premise for building smart Customs and smart border gates.

The leaders focused on sharing about the process of customs procedures and electronification of customs procedures for import and export goods, and e-manifests of imported goods...

The two customs administrations provided solutions and experiences in applying information technology in customs clearance of import and export goods; investing in and upgrading infrastructure and equipment to meet the demand for imports and exports between Vietnam and China; and “digitizing” customs procedures…

At the meeting, leaders of the two departments agreed to regularly exchange information, strengthen activities to facilitate two-way imports and exports; agreed on the coordination to promote the process of jointly researching and building a pilot model of smart customs, smart border, smart border gate, and smart connection in the near future.
