Director of the Express Delivery Customs Branch Nguyen Thanh Nam said that the Customs Procedures Team for Postal Items has started to pursue the "three on-the-spot" solution (having meals, resting and working at the office) for two weeks from July 26, 2021.

The team leader and customs officials all support the solution amid the complicated pandemic developments to contribute to protecting the safety of themselves, their families and the unit.

Customs and postal businesses all agree with the solution in the spirit of ensuring absolute safety for employees and customs officers working at the unit.

In addition to "three on-the-spot" method, the branch has arranged customs officers to carry out procedures and supervise goods to ensure quick customs clearance of import and export goods for CPN enterprises, such as: Fedex, HNC, UPS, DHL and SCE, said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam

In addition, more than half of the branch’s customs officers have worked from home to help the working teams speed up the clearance of import and export goods for businesses.

According to the Head of Customs Procedures Team for Postal Items Mai Thi Cam Van, the task of the team is to carry out customs procedures for postal enterprises, which are an essential industry. Faced with the increasingly complicated pandemic, under the branch’s guidance, the team has begun to provide accommodation at workplace for two weeks from Monday July 26.

Motivated by the support of the postal businesses, the arrangement of accommodation for customs officers is convenient. All customs officers were tested for Covid-19 to carry out the "3 on-the-spot" solution. Disinfecting at the work area of customs and enterprises is performed twice a week.

At the border-gate and outside-border-gate customs branches (under HCM City Customs Department), although the implementation of the “three on-the-spot” solution of each branch is different depending on their physical conditions, all customs officers have made efforts for the common goal of ensuring anti-pandemic and customs clearance of goods for businesses.

Mr. Le Nguyen Linh, Deputy Manager of Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch, said there are large numbers of officers and employees working at the branch, the arrangement of overnight accommodation for many days is very difficult, so the unit has performed the “three on-the-spot” method each day.

At Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch, the "three on-the-spot" solution has been carried out flexibly to clear the shipments of enterprises registered outside of office hours.

To ensure the customs clearance of goods, the leaders of the units have encouraged officials and employees to work overtime to conduct customs clearance as soon as possible. At the same time, the branches have worked with warehouse and port operators to help enterprises quickly settle payment procedures and receive goods.
