HCM City Customs: Increase revenue by over 160 billion VND

According to Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, in the first four months of 2019, this unit increased revenue collection to the State budget by over 160 billion VND through professional operation, via price consultations, post-clearance audits and goods classification.
Specifically, through professional operation, the price for tax calculation has been adjusted to increase revenue collection with the highest tax collection paid into the budget 99.7 billion VND, up 47.9% compared to the same period of 2018. There were also cases of huge increases of tax through price consultation. One example was the the case of an increase of nearly 10 billion VND tax from butter and milk products of F.B Co., Ltd. in April 2019.
Through post-clearance audit, Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department increased revenue collection by over 61 billion VND. In particular, the post-clearance audit Branch increased the revenue by 58.2 billion VND, an increase of 54.9% over the same period of 2018
In addition, through the classification of goods and implementation of inspection conclusions, Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department also increased revenue of nearly 6 billion VND.
