HCM City: Already clear tens of exported agricultural product shipments in the Vietnam’s National Day

Leader of Export Cargo Customs Procedure Team - Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch informed that, on September 2nd, the unit implemented clearance procedure for 10 export declarations which were classified in yellow channel – checking dossiers, and tens of exported shipments classifying in green channel. The exported goods were mainly fruit and seafoods sent to US, China and other countries.

If counting all three days of holiday (from August 31 to September 1st), the Export Cargo Customs Procedure Team - Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch implemented clearance procedures for more than 200 export declarations. Of that, export goods were mainly agricultural products andseafood.

Saigon Newport JSC was still working, receiving and unloading goods to container yard as normal during the holiday. The operation units at ports were working normally.

To facilitate enterprises in cargo clearance during holiday, Saigon port area 1 Customs Branch in particular and customs branches – HCM City Customs Department arranged customs officials to work over the holiday for implementing clearance procedures quickly.

According to leaders of Saigon Newport JSC, to facilitate shipping lines, shipping agents and enterprises, besides demurrage charge exemption as stipulated in the contract, Saigon Newport JSC would exempt storage of all goods and containers for enterprises during the holiday.
