The Hai Phong City People's Committee has just held a conference with the theme “unlimited reform” to announce the DDCI assessment in the city in 2021
In order to improve the business and investment environment for the business community, cooperatives, business households and investors, the city implemented the DDCI assessment for the first time in 2020.
The DDCI reflects the economic management quality of the city government at all levels and the business investment environment through the assessment of local enterprises, cooperatives and business households. The DDCI Hai Phong in 2021 continues to gather feedback from production and business establishments, including enterprises, cooperatives, and business households about the economic management of departments, agencies and localities.
Through the DDCI assessment, departments, agencies and localities will make appropriate adjustments to improve the investment and business environment in the city.
The second DDCI assessment with the theme "unlimited reform" shows the strong development and great effort of the city government to improve the investment and business environment and enhance competitiveness in a comprehensive manner, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Anh Quan said.
At the conference, Hai Phong Customs Department was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the People's Committee of Hai Phong City for outstanding achievements in advising and improving the city's PCI in 2021. This shows the high appreciation of the business community and the city’s leaders for the efforts of the department.
Hai Phong Customs Department is in charge of four regions – Hai Phong and the neighboring provinces of Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Thai Binh. The department has provided solutions to facilitate trade and improve management efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to achieving the city’s target of improving the business and investment environment through the PCI and DDCI.
In 2021, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the Department has taken measures to prevent and control the pandemic while ensuring health, living conditions and work for officers, performing quick and smooth customs clearance and preventing disruption of business production of enterprises.
The department has accomplished the task of promoting the development of the Customs-Business partnership; improving management methods, applying information technology in operation; unifying the directing and operating mechanism; enhancing the efficiency of coordination and innovation, and strengthening comprehensive inspection in all operations.
The city Department has actively built a smart Customs model with the policy of "building a transparent Customs model" with a high degree of automation, meeting requirements of global and domestic technological, scientific and technical development.
