Hai Phong Customs processes procedures for 195,154 customs declaration forms in April

In April, the number of customs declaration forms processed by the city’s customs department rose by 5.56% year-on-year and 1.32% month-on-month to 195,154 declaration forms, including 101,899 import declaration forms and 93,255 export declaration forms.
Among nine customs branches under the local customs departments, the Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Customs Branch processed the largest number of declaration forms with 44,166 declaration forms while 1st Zone Hai Phong Seaport Customs Branch has the lowest number of forms with 4,893 declarations.
During the month, 64.9% of customs declaration forms were classified into Green channel.
However, the rate of declaration forms classified into the Green channel, Yellow channel and Red Channel in local customs branches only accounted for 18.1%, 70.1% and 11.8%, respectively. Thus, the proportion of declaration forms in Yellow and Red channels at local customs branches accounted for 82% (equivalent to 28,498 declarations).
April is the month with the largest number of declarations at Hai Phong Customs in the first four months of the year.
By the end of April, Hai Phong Customs Department collected VND25,210 billion, meeting 39.62% of the target set by the Ministry of Finance or 37.6% of the target set by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, or a year-on-year increase of VND4,437.85 billion while import-export turnover reached more than US$37 billion.
