Hai Phong Customs collects nearly VND 5,300 billion in the early months of 2024

In January 2024, the revenue collection of Hai Phong Customs Department was VND5,272.4 billion, reaching 7.93% of the assigned target (VND66,490 billion), an increase of VND154 billion (equivalent to 3%) compared to the same period last year.
Notably, Hai Phong area collected VND4,442.8 billion, reaching 7.56% of the assigned target (VND58,800 billion), reaching 7.4% of the target assigned by the People's Committee (VND60,000 billion), an increase of VND214.8 billion VND (corresponding to an increase of 5.08%) compared to the same period in 2023.
The 3-province area outside Hai Phong earned VND829.5 billion, reaching 10.79% of the assigned target (VND7,690 billion).
In January, the entire Hai Phong Customs Department completed procedures for 14,159 businesses, with 214,914 declarations. Total import-export turnover reached US$10.4 billion, of which exports reached US$5.21 billion, and imports reached US$5.19 billion.
During Tet Holiday 2024 (from February 8, 2024 to February 14, 2024), Hai Phong Customs Department completed procedures for 228 import and export declarations with a turnover of US$31.044 million. In particular, 163 declarations have been cleared (the remaining declarations have not been cleared because businesses have not paid taxes...).
In addition, the unit monitored 101 ships, including 46 ships on entry and 55 ships on exit; implemented immigration procedures for 10 aircraft with 1,031 passengers on entry of the country and 5 aircraft with 785 passengers departing through Cat Bi International Airport.
