Ha Tinh Customs promote solutions for improving cross border trade index
According to Ha Tinh Customs Department, the unit has strengthened dissemination in the first nine months of the year, guiding and supporting businesses to participate in e-tax payment 24/7. The statistics showed that, as of September 13, the whole Department has collected and paid to the state budget at VND 7,483.4 billion, equalling 88.56% of the assigned estimate and an increase of 32% compared to the same period in 2021. From June 15 to the end of September 13, the tax collection via the electronic method of the whole Department reached over VND 2,056.5 billion, equaling 23.36% of the assigned estimate and an increase of 2.52% over the same period in 2021.

To achieve this result, the unit regularly analyzes and assesses risks for businesses in the area, disseminates, supports and encourages enterprises to comply with the law voluntarily and facilitates enterprises in import and export activities.
Besides that, the unit smoothly operates the information technology (IT) systems of the Customs sector, the VASSCM system at the seaport, deploys an online public service system for administrative procedures arising at the unit and continues to reform administrative procedures and modernize customs.
Talking to Customs News, Mr Dinh Van Hoa, Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Customs Department, said that, in order to promote activities to support the implementation of import and export procedures of enterprises, the unit continued to maintain the following solutions: measures to ensure cargo clearance, create maximum conditions, reduce costs and time for enterprises. Besides that, actively arrange customs officers to carry out their tasks, ensure effective customs management, smooth cargo clearance and facilitate import and export activities.
In addition, Ha Tinh Customs also focused on promoting contact and information exchange with enterprises, thereby capturing difficulties and obstacles in the process of carrying out customs procedures; maintain close coordination with functional management units in the area: Economic Zone Authority, Border Guard, Police, Tax, Quarantine, Health to assess the impact on operations import and export, proactively develop appropriate support solutions.
Mr Dinh Van Hoa stressed that the unit has actively improved and effectively used human resources to implement the assigned tasks with high results. In particular, regularly reviewing the implementation at all stages of procedures; assigning customs officers performing the task of checking documents, physical inspection of goods following the requirements of the job position's capacity and the results of the assessment of capacity based on job position of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Notably, the unit focuses on strengthening training and retraining to improve the capacity of cadres and civil servants at the professional stages. In particular, focus on the in-depth content related to the Smart Customs model to meet the requirements of the task in the next phase.
