VCN - Speaking to the Customs Magazine, a representative of Cau Treo International Border Gate Customs Branch (Ha Tinh Customs Department) said that the unit has coordinated with the Border Guard to arrest one suspect carrying one kg of drug across the border gate.

Accordingly, on the morning of September 26, at barrier 2 of Cau Treo International Border Gate, the Border Guard at Cau Treo International Border Gate, Drug and Crime Prevention Unit (Ha Tinh Border Guard) coordinated with the Drug Enforcement Team, Cau Treo International Border Gate Customs Branch (Ha Tinh Customs Department) to inspect Dang Anh Hung, 37 age, residing at Hoa Lac commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province with many signs of suspicion while he was entering from Laos to Vietnam

The suspect Dang Anh Hung and one kg of meth

Through the inspection, the authorities seized one kg of meth hiding in Hung’s carry-on baggage.

As confessed by the suspect, Hung admitted that he is hired to carry the above meth from Laos to Ha Tinh to send to Ho Chi Minh City with a remuneration of VND20,000,000.

Dang Anh Hung had a criminal record for robbery, and intentionally causing injury, and was arrested and sent to a drug treatment center for positive for drugs.

The authorities are handling the case.
