The free customs declaration software is launched as the customs sector has strengthened administrative reform and customs modernization to reduce customs clearance time and help import and export enterprises overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Previously, Customs deployed free software under the VNACCS/VCIS automatic customs clearance system, but this software required businesses to have eligible devices to install.
However, the new customs declaration software will be centrally installed at the General Department of Customs, the Customs office will deploy the declaration address online, and enterprises only need an Internet-connected device to access the declaration address without machinery and equipment as well as paying licensing costs to buy third party software.
In addition, the Customs sector is implementing the Digital Customs System, this free customs declaration software will be promptly updated with information to meet new requirements.
Thus, in addition to reducing costs, the new software also helps businesses and people quickly access and be proactive with the changes of the Customs sector when implementing the Digital Customs System and the smart Customs model.
Currently, the General Department of Customs is rushing to prepare related works to deploy the new software from January 1, 2022.
Customs declarations of import and export goods increases more than 21% in July VCN – In July, Hai Phong Customs Department processed 192,738 declarations, a year-on-year increase of 21.58%. |
According to the plan, the General Department of Customs will update the user manual on the Portal of the General Department of Customs (www.customs.gov.vn) from December 13, 2021.
