According to, in May, the department implemented VAT refund for goods worth VND 120 billion of foreign passengers and oversea Vietnamese people when exiting the country with the tax refund of over VND 8 billion.

In the first five months of the year, HCM City Customs Department has implemented tax refund for goods worth over VND 40 billion carried by more than 7,200 foreign passengers when exiting the country.

Goods carried by foreign passengers and refunded mainly are footwear, sandals, clothes, handbags, cosmetics, watches...
