Dong Nai Customs changes structure of Long Thanh and Binh Thuan Customs Branches

The Ministry of Finance’s Decision 1615 dated August 24 on renaming two customs branches under Dong Nai Customs Department as Long Thanh Customs Branch and Binh Thuan Customs Branch into Dong Nai Seaport Customs Branch and Binh Thuan Seaport Customs Branch will officially take effect from October 15, 2021.
Accordingly, the department is shifting the Dong Nai Port Customs operational Team under Bien Hoa Customs Branch to Dong Nai Seaport Customs Branch from October 15, 2021, and assigning officers in line with the transformation.
The local customs department has also developed training plans and reviewed documents related to operation and management of seaport customs branches to instruct branches for performance before October 10, 2021.
It is perfecting work related to the suspension of former customs, warehouse, seaport and yard codes (if any); registering, transferring and implementing new customs, warehouse, seaport and yard codes (if any) on the customs system from October 15 for these branches. The change will be released to the business community (if any) before September 30.
The department reviews issues related to obstacles in tax management, anti-smuggling, customs inspection and risk management, thereby providing solutions to closely control goods and preventing goods congestion before October 15.
Dong Nai Customs department has requested the two branches to consider and propose additional equipment to serve the operation after their names are changed.
