According to Dien Bien Customs Department, at 13:05, on June 13, 2023, the Anti-Drug Enforcement Team coordinated with PC04 Division, Dien Bien Police; Dien Bien Dong district police to find three men on their motorbikes standing at the roadside with suspicious signs in Na Lau village, Bung Lao commune, Muong Ang district, Dien Bien province.

The working group approached the suspects and conducted a check. Two of them drove away and escaped. The working group chased and arrested the other, named Vang A Dia, born in 1990, residing in Keo Lom 1 village, Keo Lom commune, Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province.

Through inspection, the group discovered that Vang A Dia was holding a blue plastic bag containing two rectangular packages of 60 small plastic bags. Inside the small bags are pink tablets with the symbol WY on the surface, suspected to be a synthetic drug (Methamphetamine).

Under the investigation, Vang A Dia confessed that the number of pink tablets in the 60 plastic bags above was methamphetamine (about 12,000 tablets) that Vang A Dia bought from a Laotian in Vietnam – Laos border area, while he was selling them for a profit, he was caught red-handed.Currently, all documents, the suspect and exhibits are handled by the Dien Bien Provincial Police.
