Son La: Four bricks of heroin and 11,800 tablets of synthetic drugs seized

VCN – Four bricks of heroin and 11,800 tablets of synthetic drugs were seized in the area of Ma River (Son La province) by the Customs force in coordination with Police and Border Defence forces.

According to Son la Customs Branch (Dien Bien Customs Department), on May 5, at Thong Nhat village, Chieng Khuong commune, Song Ma district, Son La, Customs Techincal Team of Chieng Khuong border gate coordinated with PC04 Division, Son La Police; Song Ma District Police; Chieng Khuong Commune Police; Chieng Khuong Border Post to detect a group of people who were showing signs of trading illegal drugs.

Inspecting the house of Pham Van Huu (who was born in 1974; residing in Thong Nhat village, Chieng Khuong commune), the task force discovered that there were four men in the bedroom and a plastic bag.

Immediately after seeing the authorities, the two ran away.

Checking the plastic bag, the competent forces discovered four white powdered rectangular cakes (suspected to be heroin) and 47 blue plastic bags, 12 pink plastic bags which contained the pink tablets with the symbol WY.

Pham Van Huu and Song A Cho claimed that the four bricks were heroin; 59 packs of tablets which were about 11,800 tablets, were synthetic drugs. Those drugs were being delivered but the working group detected and seized them.

Currently, the matter is being investigated and handled by PC04 Division and Son La Police.
