Dien Bien Customs arrests person transporting nine bricks of heroin

VCN - On September 23, the leader of the Anti-Drug Enforcement Team (Dien Bien Customs Department) said the unit arrested a person transporting nine bricks of heroin.

At 10:00 AM, on September 22, at Quyet Tien village, Bung Lao commune, Muong Ang district, Dien Bien, the Anti-Drug Enforcement Team (Dien Bien Customs Department) worked with Dien Bien Provincial Police and related police to discover four people having suspicious signs of illegally transporting narcotics.

When seeing the police, the subjects fled. At the scene, the working group detained a person named Sung A Kha (residing in Xa Dung commune, North Dien Bien district, Dien Bien).

Through conducting on-site inspection, the officials seized nine rectangular white powder cakes (size 15x10x2.5cm).

Kha confessed that the cakes were heroin and were on the way to be consumed.

The incident is currently being investigated.
