Develop information portal for four local customs departments

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, to enhance effectiveness in providing online public services, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has implemented the new version of Vietnam Customs Portal (tongcuc.customs.gov.vn); and supporting the deploying of web portals of four local customs departments: Dien Bien, Cao Bang, Ha Nam Ninh and Khanh Hoa.
The General Department of Vietnam Customs has provided 172/193 online public services at level 3 and 4, accounting for 90 percent. In particular, 163 administrative procedures in customs field were provided by online public service at level 4 (reaching approximately 85 percent).
Some notable contents about IT application being implemented by the General Department of Vietnam Customs were: Continue to complete the scheme of redesign overall the IT system of Customs; building the structure of e-government of the customs sector; deploying the content of building the Intelligence Operating Center of the Ministry of Finance (contents chaired by the General Department of Vietnam Customs).
For customs management system at ports, warehouses and yards (VASSCM system), the General Department of Vietnam Customs is continuing to expand deployment. So far, the system has been deployed at 35/35 local customs departments with 249 ports (under 29 departments), 158 bonded warehouses (under 21 departments) and 3 airports (under one Department) in the whole country.
In addition, the Customs authority continued to manage, supervise and ensure the operation of VNACCS/VCIS system and centralised IT systems of the Customs sector to perform stably 24/7, ensuring security, safety, clear communication lines serving the clearance of import and export goods.
