In 2023, the Customs industry has made efforts, tried and successfully completed assigned tasks in aspects such as: trade facilitation, investment attraction, effective combat against crime, smuggling and trade fraud, especially drug-related crimes; well performing the role of Standing Agency of National Steering Committee for ASEAN Single Window, National Single Window and Trade Facilitation...

In 2024, the entire industry will continue to strive to successfully complete assigned tasks, focusing on key groups of tasks and solutions such as: continuing to create maximum trade facilitation according to the Party policies, State laws, Customs Law; not causing trouble or harassment...

Regarding budget collection tasks, closely following the country's socio-economic development targets to build effective collection solutions, striving to achieve and exceed estimated targets for the whole year (estimated target for 2024 is VND375,000 billion).

Regarding the implementation of Digital Customs and Smart Customs, the entire industry strives to implement holistic digital transformation in all aspects of the Customs industry, first of all focusing resources on successfully building a technology system to serve Digital Customs implementation to meet professional requirements in customs clearance.

In order for the digital transformation to be successful, it is necessary to focus on training and fostering civil servants; capacity building and personnel organization.

Regarding the work of developing legal documents, the customs will focus on leadership and direction in building and perfecting the system of legal documents in the field of customs to improve effectiveness and efficiency in deploying assigned tasks.

For the prevention and combat of smuggling, trade fraud and drug, the Customs continues to promote achievements in 2023. In addition, it is necessary to focus on preventing and combating new types of crimes such as illegally exporting and importing goods; buying and selling invoices to illegally transfer money abroad...

Regarding international cooperation, the Customs continues to promote practical and effective cooperation with traditional partners such as US Customs, China Customs, Australian Customs... to prevent and combat smuggling, trade fraud and drug crime…

Striving to perform well in purchasing and investing in modern equipment to serve state management of customs and create favorable conditions for the business community.

In particular, the entire industry needs to continue to raise awareness, sense of responsibility and seriously implement discipline and public service discipline; strengthen inspection and examination to strictly handle organizations and individuals that commit violations.

In 2024, the entire Customs industry is determined to carry out comprehensive digital transformation based on the application of big data, artificial intelligence... in all operational stages.
